Compare

Compare us with another company using the following criteria- by doing so you will choose the best value for your money carpet cleaning service.

    Checklist

  • Experience

do they specialise like us in carpet cleaning only? Companies that specialise in one field tend to be more expert and have better knowledge of their job.
  • Education

do they have any appropriate cleaning education? Firms that invest money in education are well placed to tackle any carpet cleaning jobs.
  • Machinery

what is their equipment like? Do they use cheap and ligh- duty carpet cleaning machines?
  • Company Image

Do they have commercial vans ideally with sign-writing (showing that they are serious in what they do). Do their staff wear uniforms? Do they have an office?
  • References

    - Can they provide you with written references for both Commercial and Domestic clients?
  • Price

    - For some, price is the number one priority but would you trust the cheapest person in the street? I would not. I would rather pay a trustworthy company to professionally steam clean my carpet rather than having a quick job done by incapable cleaners.

Important

Firstly, check with your carpet manufacturer, supplier or even real estate agent about recommended cleaning instructions, then compare that with Carpet Cleaning Methods to see which one suits you.

There are 3 Main methods:

  • Steam Cleaning or Hot Water Extraction This is the preferred carpet cleaning method by most carpet manufacturers, real estate agents and customers. This is the only method that can give you a deep carpet pile clean.
  • How is it done? In a nutshell - Hot water is sprayed under pressure into carpeted areas, dissolving stains and dirt. Then it is extracted by powerful (often dual) vacuum leaving a cleaner, fresher and more hygienic carpet for you to enjoy.
  • Carpet Dry Cleaning A rotary brush is used to apply a chemical solution to the carpeted areas using little or no water. Then the mix is removed by clean pads or by vacuuming.
  • Shampoo Vacuuming Detergent-type foam is applied by rotary brush, once dry it is vacuumed. It will leave some residue in the pile.

What to do after Your Carpet has been Steam Cleaned?

Did you know that after your carpet has been steam cleaned it is most vulnerable to soiling and re-staining? This is due to the fact that when your carpet is being steam cleaned, the fibres of the pile of your carpet will be open.

There are very easy-to-follow steps to ensure the best results:

  1. Keep off freshly cleaned carpet and have as much air circulation as possible.
  2. If you have air conditioner, turn it on to 'Cool' and the fan should be set to 'High.' Turn on your fans and open doors and windows if an air conditioner is not available. This will allow cross breeze ventilation and natural air flow.
  3. Place clean towels at entrances to wipe feet. Avoid walking with your dirty shoes on freshly cleaned carpeted area/s.
  4. Do not put your rugs, mats or any other floor coverings down until carpet is completely dry.
  5. Keep all your timber items off carpet if possible. Another alternative is to place aluminium foil under wooden parts to avoid carpet staining.

If your upholstery have been steam cleaned then you need to make sure that cushions are rotated regularly to ensure an 'even-dry' condition.
